Onboarding Wizard
Complete guide to the 4-step onboarding wizard that sets up your company, salon, and gets you ready for bookings
Onboarding Wizard
After verifying your email and logging in for the first time, you'll be guided through the Onboarding Wizard—a 4-step process that sets up your company, your first salon location, and gets you ready to start accepting bookings.
You cannot skip the onboarding wizard. It's required to establish your business on Kalism.
Before You Start
Have the following information ready:
- ✅ Your company name (legal business name)
- ✅ Your full name (first and last name)
- ✅ Your salon's name (how customers will see it)
- ✅ Complete salon address (street, number, postal code, city, region)
- ✅ Your typical working hours (when you're available)
Note: The wizard collects only basic information to get you started. You'll add services, photos, detailed descriptions, and team members afterward.
The 4-Step Wizard
The wizard takes about 5-7 minutes and guides you through creating your company and first salon.
Step 1: Company Information
This step sets up your business and creates your user profile (personal information).
Company Name (Required)
- Your legal business or company name
- Used for administrative and billing purposes
- Examples: "Salon Elegance B.V.", "Maria's Hair Studio", "Downtown Barber Co."
Your First Name (Required)
- Your first name
- This creates your personal user profile as the salon owner
Your Last Name (Required)
- Your last name
Email (Read-only)
- Your account email is pre-filled
- This is the email you use to log in
- Customers will NOT see this email
What this creates:
- Your company profile
- Your user profile (with your name)
- Your employee profile as the owner
Click "Next" to continue.
Step 2: Billing Information
Currently Free During Beta
You'll see a message that Kalism is free during the beta period. No payment or credit card information is required.
Note: When Kalism officially launches, this step will include pricing plans and payment setup. You'll receive advance notice before any charges apply.
Click "Next" to continue.
Step 3: Salon Information
This step creates your first salon location. It has three parts:
Part A: Salon Name
Salon Name (Required)
- Your salon's public-facing name
- This is what customers will see in search results and on your profile
- Can be the same as your company name or different
- Examples: "Elegance Hair Studio", "Cutting Edge Salon", "The Barber's Chair"
Part B: Salon Address
Enter your complete salon address:
Street Name (Required)
- Example: "Kalverstraat"
House Number (Required)
- Example: "92"
Street Name Two (Optional)
- Apartment, suite, or unit number
- Example: "2nd Floor" or "Unit B"
Postal Code (Required)
- Dutch postal code format: 4 digits + 2 letters
- Example: "1012 XC"
City (Required)
- Your salon's city
- Example: "Amsterdam"
Region (Required)
- Province
- Example: "Noord-Holland"
Country (Required)
- Your salon's country
- Example: Netherlands
Address Validation (Required)
- After filling all address fields, click "Validate Address"
- The system verifies your address exists
- If valid, a map will appear showing your salon's location
- Verify the pin is at the correct spot
- If invalid, you'll see an error—correct it and try again
Important: Address validation is mandatory. This ensures customers can find you accurately.
Part C: Working Hours
Set your typical work schedule. These are YOUR hours as the owner—not the salon's general hours (you can adjust those later).
For each day of the week:
- Click the day name
- Use the time pickers to set start and end times
- You can add multiple time slots per day (for split shifts)
- Leave days blank if you don't work that day
Example Schedule:
Monday: 09:00 - 12:00, 14:00 - 18:00
Tuesday: 09:00 - 18:00
Wednesday: 09:00 - 18:00
Thursday: Closed
Friday: 09:00 - 20:00
Saturday: 10:00 - 16:00
Sunday: Closed
Note: These hours represent YOUR availability as the owner. Later, you can adjust salon-wide opening hours and add other team members with their own schedules.
Click "Next" to review.
Step 4: Review & Submit
You'll see a summary of all the information you entered:
Company
- Company name
Owner (You)
- First name, last name, email

- Shows "Free during beta"

To submit:
